I can’t wait to meet your pup.
Whether your dog needs a skilled teacher or a trusted sitter, Good Dog Pet Services has you covered.
Good training starts with understanding: meeting your dog's needs, fulfilling their natural drive, and building a relationship rooted in trust. That's the heart of every session, whether we're working on the basics or tackling reactivity.
And when you're out of town, I carry that same training into my pet sitting because good dogs thrive on structure, routine, and predictability.

How Training Plans Work
Every dog and family is unique, which is why I take a personalized approach to training. We’ll start with a free consultation to get to know you, your dog, and your goals. From there, we’ll create a practical training plan focused on helping you better understand your dog and giving you the tools to succeed together. You’ll receive personalized homework after each session, ongoing support between sessions, and a training approach that moves at a pace that works for your family.
-
Every training plan starts with getting to know you and your dog. Before we begin training, I want to understand your family, your dog’s unique personality, what you’re currently struggling with, and what you hope to accomplish. Every session begins with a free 30 minute phone consultation where we’ll talk through your concerns, goals, and what life looks like with your dog.
-
During our first training session, I’ll observe how you and your dog interact and provide personalized feedback and guidance. My goal isn’t just to teach your dog a new behavior, it’s to teach you how to better understand your dog. Together, we’ll explore why your dog is behaving the way they are and develop practical strategies you can use in everyday life.
After each session, you’ll receive a detailed training plan with personalized homework so you know exactly what to work on between sessions. I focus on giving you actionable steps that you can start using right away, without overwhelming you or your dog.
-
I believe responsible training means having a full toolbox and choosing the right approach for the individual dog, not following a rigid ideology. The goal will always be achieving lasting behavior change while preserving trust and the relationship you have with your dog. Science, individualization, and the well-being of your dog come first.
-
Every dog and every family is different. Some concerns can be addressed in just one or two sessions, while other goals may benefit from several weeks of ongoing support. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all program, I’ll help determine the pace and amount of training that makes sense for you and your dog.
For ongoing training, I typically recommend scheduling sessions about two weeks apart. This gives you time to practice, build new habits, and work through your homework before we meet again. And you won’t be on your own between sessions! I’m available to answer questions and provide support as you put your training plan into practice.
Professional Pet Sitting You Can Trust
Give your pets the care of a professional dog trainer while you’re away! Whether it’s a dog walk, drop-in visit, or housesitting, I bring my training expertise to every visit while keeping your pets’ routines comfortable and stress-free. I also have shelter experience caring for cats, so your feline family members are in capable hands, too.
“I have a mixed breed pup with behavioral quirks. I've tried everything. I was frequently left in tears, frustrated, and confused as to how to make actual progress. Enter Kaleigh. She's been the only one to key in on my dog's thinking and genetics, motivating us both with a strengths based framework. You know that saying about grading a fish on their ability to climb a tree? Well, Kaleigh has set us on a path of celebrating my "fish learning to swim". I feel closer to my dog and excited to keep up with our new training games, instead of the typical helplessness. She’s worth it.”

“Kaleigh did a wonderful job working with Murphy! She was patient, kind, and clearly knows her stuff when it comes to dog training. Murphy was excited every time he saw her, and I noticed real improvement in his behavior. She was also great at communicating and gave me helpful tips to keep practicing at home. I'd highly recommend Kaleigh to anyone looking for a reliable, caring trainer!”
